About The Position
The Racker prepares objects for processing by determining job priorities and selecting an appropriate racking procedure based on the objects’ size, shape, and quantity. The role includes attaching objects to racks or hoists, removing processed parts, completing required paperwork, following safety and PPE requirements, maintaining a clean work area, and correctly disposing of hazardous waste.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Determine the priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing.
- Select the appropriate racking procedure according to the size, shape, and number of objects to be processed.
- Wire or clip objects to a rack or hoist for processing.
- Remove parts from a rack or bar after processing.
- Complete paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
- Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed.
- Maintain a clean working area by disposing of unnecessary trash or wires.
- Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
