About The Position

The Racker/Unracker selects appropriate racking procedures based on the size, shape, and number of objects being processed. The role involves attaching objects to racks or hoists, removing parts after processing, performing quality checks, and verifying completed work with precision. The employee completes required paperwork, follows safety guidelines and PPE requirements, and maintains a clean work area, including disposing of hazardous waste correctly. The position requires standing throughout a 6- to 8-hour shift and proficiency in spoken and written English for workplace communication.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED required.
Ability to perform basic math operations and apply them in the work environment.
Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
Ability to stand throughout a full 6- to 8-hour work shift.

Responsibilities

Select appropriate racking procedures according to the size, shape, and number of objects to be processed.
Wire or clip objects to racks or hoists for processing.
Remove parts from racks or bars after processing.
Unrack parts, perform quality checks, and verify completion accurately.
Complete paperwork required by company and processing guidelines.
Wear proper PPE and follow safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean working area by disposing of unnecessary trash and wires.
Dispose of hazardous waste material correctly.
