THIS IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT POSITON Job Summary The purpose of this position is to provide various support services to Trainers, Horses, Jockeys/Drivers during live racing.
Requirements
- Basic to general knowledge of horses, horse racing industry and related regulations.
- Basic to general knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of exceptional customer service practices.
- General oral communication skills.
- General riding and managing/controlling horse behaviour and horse handling skills
- Minimum secondary school education
- Minimum 3 years practical experience in a similar environment.
Responsibilities
- Provides racing related services to Horse owners, trainers, jockeys/drivers and horses such as ensuring tack, silks, equipment, and ice are in order and are distributed in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ensures that work related schedules are maintained.
- Ensures adherence to all related policies and procedures and safety measures.
- Reports discrepancies or occurrences to the appropriate personnel
- Ensures general care and maintenance of related equipment.
