About The Position
This is a Part 2 of a course on solo vocal literature, focusing on analysis and performance. It will cover stylistic conventions, text-music relationships, and other elements related to interpretation. The first part of the course will be taught by a regular professor, and the instructor for this part will need to coordinate with them on the course outline. The course is to be delivered in person.
Requirements
- PhD or DMA in Music or equivalent.
- Extensive and ongoing experience in the field of vocal performance and vocal pedagogy.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Must be fluent in English and French.
Responsibilities
- Survey of solo vocal literature through analysis and performance.
- Study of stylistic conventions, text-music relationships, and other elements related to interpretation and presentation.
- Coordinate with the regular professor for the course outline.
