About The Position

This is a Part 2 of a course on solo vocal literature, focusing on analysis and performance. It will cover stylistic conventions, text-music relationships, and other elements related to interpretation. The first part of the course will be taught by a regular professor, and the instructor for this part will need to coordinate with them on the course outline. The course is to be delivered in person.

Requirements

  • PhD or DMA in Music or equivalent.
  • Extensive and ongoing experience in the field of vocal performance and vocal pedagogy.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Must be fluent in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Survey of solo vocal literature through analysis and performance.
  • Study of stylistic conventions, text-music relationships, and other elements related to interpretation and presentation.
  • Coordinate with the regular professor for the course outline.
