About The Position

The Staff RN is a professional caregiver accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN coordinates and implements patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served in the assigned unit and ensures care is provided safely, efficiently, and consistently with the unit’s standard of care. The RN uses nursing skills to assess patients’ and families’ biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs, then develops, implements, and revises the plan of care.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Newly graduated nurses, re-entry nurses, and nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.
• Annual 1-hour Stroke Education required for those working at QVH.

Nice To Haves

• One year of operating room experience is preferred.
