About The Position

This is a 12-week learning experience in the Performance Coatings Group (PCG) Research and Development Division. Interns are assigned to a specific laboratory and provided with a mentor. They participate as active members of a project team, complete a technical project, and present it at the end of the assignment. Periodic performance reviews and special networking and learning events are part of the program. The internship offers experience working in groups and alongside other interns and co-ops.

The position is based at 701 S Shiloh Rd, Garland, TX 75042, supporting the R&D Performance Coatings Group. It starts May 24, 2027. Hires must complete a background check before employment begins.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) during the internship.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for 12 weeks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Complete a background check before the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Sherwin-Williams Research and Development (R&D) internship or co-op program.
• Be a rising or current sophomore, junior, or senior at a college or university when the internship begins.
