2027 R&D PCG Summer Internship-Garland, TX
About The Position
This is a 12-week summer internship in Sherwin-Williams’ Performance Coatings Group Research and Development Division. The intern will be assigned to a laboratory, receive a mentor, participate on a project team, and complete a technical project to present at the end of the assignment. The program includes periodic performance reviews and special networking and learning events, providing opportunities to gain experience in work groups and collaborate with other interns and co-ops. The position is based at 701 S Shiloh Rd, Garland, TX 75042, and starts May 24, 2027. The intern may have contact with employees and access to confidential or proprietary information and other valuable items. Hires must complete a background check before employment begins.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) during the internship.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
- Be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for 12 weeks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Complete a background check before the start of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Sherwin-Williams R&D internship or co-op program.
- Be a rising or current sophomore, junior, or senior at a college or university when the internship starts.
