About The Position

Broadcom’s Core Infrastructure team in Plano, Texas develops products that ensure data operations for large organizations, including banks, insurance companies, and retailers. The Software Engineer researches and develops new solutions that help shape Broadcom’s future direction, working within a scrum team in an agile development environment. The role participates in design, code, and test-plan reviews and develops automated test scripts to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in software development.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or an equivalent degree.
Prior experience as a developer on VSE, z/VM, or z/OS platforms.
Strong Assembler skills.
Knowledge of and related product expertise in one or more VSE subsystems, POWER, and CICS.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in mainframe VSE environments, including z/VM and VSE JCL.
Experience with mainframe VSE programming languages and tools, including Assembler, REXX, and VSE macro.
