About The Position

This role is for a Quantity Surveyor at an established flat roofing contractor with a strong presence across London and the South East. The company specializes in commercial flat roofing solutions, working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors on diverse projects in the Public, Commercial, Education, and Healthcare sectors. The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial and financial aspects of flat roofing projects from pre-construction to final account. This includes preparing cost estimates, tenders, and valuations, managing project budgets, assessing and negotiating variations and claims, and compiling cost value reconciliations. The role involves administering contracts under standard forms (JCT/NEC), liaising with main contractors on commercial matters, and maintaining relationships with clients and the supply chain.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Proven ability managing valuations, variations, final accounts and project budgets.
Strong working knowledge of standard contract forms (JCT, NEC).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard estimating or QS software.
Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
