Second Shift Quality Technician

About The Position

The Quality Technician will conduct policies & procedures and audits to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This role supports manufacturing by conducting 1st piece inspections, random shop floor in-process inspection audits, and generating inspection reports when required by the customer. The technician will also perform 1st article and PPAP inspections as needed, operate machinery safely, and maintain 6S standards in all work stations. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Intermediate math skills (ex. geometry, trigonometry).
• Mechanical inclination.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Interpersonal and written communication.
• Record keeping skills.
• Record of attendance.
• Multi-tasking.
• Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Read a tape measure and other measurement tools (ex. calipers, micrometers, height gage).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a machine and/or fabrication shop.
• Must have at least 1-2 years of prior Quality experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing by conducting 1st piece inspections.
