Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Requires at least 4 years of relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device inspection experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing complex tests and analyses to ensure that products meet established specifications.
  • Carrying out complex calculations and preparing documentation that reflects the results of tests performed.
  • Completing records of inspection results, including acceptance, rejection, and disposition.
  • Conducting scheduled calibration and maintenance on test equipment.
  • Establishing maintenance and calibration schedules for test equipment based on manufacturers’ recommendations, and maintaining equipment records.
  • Recommending and implementing revisions, corrections, and changes to test equipment, procedures, and methods.
  • Compiling data to identify trends and proposing corrective actions.
  • Initiating discussions with Quality, Engineering, and other relevant departments to develop corrective actions for recurring problems.
  • Performing routine product inspections and analyses, generally of finished goods, components, incoming materials, materials prior to being sent to external service suppliers, or new products, by observing, measuring, and recording data.
  • Utilizing blueprint reading skills daily.
  • Comparing inspection results to defined requirements or specifications and documenting any differences found.
  • Compiling and entering data into routers, logbooks, and/or computer databases, and documenting findings.
  • Demonstrating general awareness of GD&T principles.
  • Supporting broader quality efforts to assess impacted stock inventories (e.g., stock audits, stop shipments).
  • Ensuring batch records are complete and accurate, with all NCs dispositioned prior to release.
  • Identifying, recording, and reporting batch non-conformances and product holds.
  • Operating automated equipment to inspect products per inspection programs (e.g., CMM).
  • Using computer-based applications to manage inventories, batch records, downtime, communication, inspection equipment, and inventory equipment.
  • Communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next level of management.
  • Ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, as needed.
