About The Position

Responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives, and proactively driving actions to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality. This is the primary customer-facing Quality role for the business unit, responsible for interacting with customers daily on issues related to part delivery quality and associated processes. The role manages all aspects of plant quality, including audits, inspections, quality engineering, first article reporting, non-conforming product management, and supplier quality. The Quality Engineer will evaluate and enhance quality standards, technologies, and approaches, act as a strong advocate for quality in the New Product Development Process, represent the company externally in conversations with key customers and partners, and synthesize quality performance data for presentation to executive leadership. The role also drives improvement to the department's key performance metrics (COPQ, QPPM, Supplier Quality QPPM, DMR/RMA rate).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) from four-year College or university in an Engineering or Quality discipline; or 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in facilitating Quality performance and improvement for manufacturing organizations in the machining, semiconductor equipment, automotive or medical device sector
  • Ability to synthesize and distill technical analyses into meaningful activities to drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to write process descriptions, assembly, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings “Blueprints”

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Knowledge of ASME Y14.5GD&T Techniques desirable.
  • ISO 9001 and/or Six sigma certifications desirable.
