About The Position

The 1st Shift Quality Tech is responsible for reading and interpreting product drawings, evaluating compliance with quality standards, completing quality audits, preparing reports, and performing measurements and testing. This role also involves problem-solving, understanding instructions, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in work. The position requires adherence to safety policies and procedures and a basic understanding of the Quality Management System. Employees in this role are expected to perform tasks necessary for the success of the department, which may extend beyond their immediate responsibilities.

Requirements

Work in a safe manner and part of a team.
Self-starter who can work successfully without close supervision.
Two to three years work experience.
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and caliper.
Math and computer skills including Microsoft Office and LINCS.
Ability to read/write/communicate clearly and concisely in English.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Report to work on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Basic knowledge of the Quality Management System to promote awareness and use by associates.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret product drawings.
Evaluate compliance with Cabinetworks Group wood character, machining, assembly and finishing requirements and educate on same.
Complete quality audits of product and processes including Data Pak, Color control, etc.
Prepare reports on quality/scrap.
Gage Control.
Measurement and testing of product to KCMA and Company Specifications (Stain testing, Chemical test, Edge soak, etc).
Problem Solving.
Understand instructions whether they are written or verbal, and follow those instructions.
Complete work with accuracy and efficiency.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Perform tasks required for the success of the department which extend beyond the department.
