About The Position

The 2nd Shift Quality Tech is responsible for evaluating compliance with product drawings and Cabinetworks Group requirements for wood character, machining, assembly, and finishing. This role involves conducting quality audits, preparing reports, performing measurements and testing, and participating in problem-solving initiatives. The position requires understanding and following instructions, completing work accurately and efficiently, and adhering to safety policies. A basic knowledge of the Quality Management System is also expected to promote its awareness and use among associates. This role may also involve performing tasks that extend beyond the immediate department for the overall success of the department.

Requirements

Work in a safe manner and part of a team.
Self-starter who can work successfully without close supervision.
Two to three years work experience.
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and caliper.
Math and computer skills including Microsoft Office and LINCS.
Ability to read/write/communicate clearly and concisely in English.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Report to work on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret product drawings.
Evaluate compliance with Cabinetworks Group wood character, machining, assembly, and finishing requirements and educate on same.
Complete quality audits of product and processes including Data Pak, Color control, etc.
Prepare reports on quality/scrap.
Gage Control.
Measurement and testing of product to KCMA and Company Specifications (Stain testing, Chemical test, Edge soak, etc).
Problem Solving.
Understand instructions whether they are written or verbal, and follow those instructions.
Complete work with accuracy and efficiency.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Perform tasks required for the success of the department which extend beyond the department.
