About The Position

This role is responsible for evaluating compliance with product specifications, conducting quality audits, preparing reports, and performing measurements and testing. The position requires problem-solving skills, the ability to follow instructions, and adherence to safety policies. The Quality Tech will also promote awareness and use of the Quality Management System and perform tasks necessary for the department's success.

Requirements

  • Work in a safe manner and part of a team
  • Self-starter who can work successfully without close supervision
  • Two to three years work experience
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and caliper
  • Math and computer skills including Microsoft Office and LINCS
  • Ability to read/write/communicate clearly and concisely in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret product drawings
  • Evaluate compliance with Cabinetworks Group wood character, machining, assembly and finishing requirements and educate on same
  • Complete quality audits of product and processes including Data Pak, Color control, etc.
  • Prepare reports on quality/scrap
  • Gage Control
  • Measurement and testing of product to KCMA and Company Specifications (Stain testing, Chemical test, Edge soak, etc)
  • Problem Solving
  • Understand instructions whether they are written or verbal, and follow those instructions
  • Complete work with accuracy and efficiency
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of the Quality Management System to promote awareness and use by associates
  • Perform tasks required for the success of the department which extend beyond the department
