About The Position

The Quality professional in the manufacturing industry plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet or exceed established standards of quality and safety. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes that align with regulatory requirements and company objectives. The role involves continuous monitoring and analysis of production processes to identify areas for improvement and to prevent defects. The Quality specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and supply chain to drive quality initiatives and resolve issues promptly. Ultimately, this role ensures customer satisfaction by delivering reliable, high-quality products while supporting operational efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND 1 year of job-specific and related experience in quality inspection
  • Must possess demonstrated analytical capability
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft office applications
  • Enterprise resource planning systems experience is required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Assist department Project Leaders in determining root cause of manufacturing or customer concerns through: paredo analysis; problem solving teams; corrective actions; dock, process, scrap and other audits
  • Assist in coordination of sample submissions to Customers
  • Assist in trying to resolve issues that have arisen line side due to parts or equipment
  • Assist Quality Project Leaders in all functions related to advanced quality training
  • Audit assigned lines weekly to verify clicker wrenches are present, in good working order, and set to correct specification
  • Audit production paperwork to confirm that it is completely correctly
  • Audit, analyze and interpret chart information, maintain control limits where applicable
  • Audits manufacturing and assembly processes to establish standards, procedures and/or specifications
  • Calibrate all ‘calibrated’ tools, gages, located in assigned area and submit completed worksheets to Quality Assurance Metrology Project Leader
  • Communicate quality standards to applicable departments when new or changed standards occur
  • Emergency calibration for tools and gages in assigned area
  • Ensure all products or process control plans are followed and effective (to include all gauges necessary to fulfill requirements are available)
  • Evaluates effectiveness of procedures and operation standards that are established for in-process and finished product
  • Fill out sorted parts tags and properly enter them into log
  • Maintain open communication with customers to ensure continuous satisfaction relative to quality; complaints, field survey of customer's complaint, at IB-TECH or Customer locations (Power or Manual seats and other sub-components)
  • Monthly direct current (DC) tool audit to verify proper location, check for damage, and studies
  • Participate in resolving manufacturing and quality issues
  • Provide manufacturing with proper torque wrenches
  • Provide training to personnel in chart use or inspection techniques when required
  • Quality Control Technicians to submit parts for macro study with weld lengths measured
  • Set up and control sorts internally
  • Support emergency macros as required
  • Utilize Gage-Pack to track calibrated tools in assigned area
  • Other duties as assigned
