About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, MO. This position involves reviewing proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements for auditing purposes. The specialist will prepare and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to ensure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are deployed. The role also includes analyzing process data, metrics, models, and flows to identify root causes of problems, participating with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and their implementation, and conducting research to continuously improve process capability. Furthermore, the specialist will conduct quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, developing coordinated responses for management review and approval. Finally, the position requires conducting hardware, software, and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, and related business, regulatory, and customer requirements, reporting results to management. The role operates under general direction.

Requirements

  • 3+ year of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 3+ years of experience working with AS9100 or similar QMS standard
  • 3+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office Application Suite such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience conducting site regulatory compliance audits

Responsibilities

  • Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to utilize for auditing purposes

  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management
