About The Position

The Quality Systems Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) that drives process compliance, standardization, and continuous improvement across CIC Construction's industrial construction and manufacturing operations. This role directly strengthens safety, quality, and operational excellence, reducing risk, improving efficiency, and reinforcing accountability company-wide. CIC Construction is the employee-owned construction company within CIC Group, bringing together the expertise and capabilities of NOOTER and WYATT to serve industrial customers across North America.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, industrial services, engineering, manufacturing, specialty contracting, or a related project-based environment.
  • Demonstrated success implementing and managing a Quality Management System (QMS), including internal auditing, document control, corrective and preventive action management, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, process maps, forms, templates, and other controlled documentation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives, driving organizational compliance, and supporting multi-location operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 standards, auditing, process improvement, process mapping, and document control practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to evaluate performance data and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated core competencies: accountability and ownership, collaboration and teamwork, culture and safety, influential leadership and business acumen, and talent development and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Drive process compliance, standardization, and continuous improvement across industrial construction and manufacturing operations.
  • Review quality performance metrics and internal audit findings.
  • Partner with department leaders, project teams, and field operations to document, standardize, and improve business processes.
  • Manage document control for policies, procedures, forms, templates, and work instructions.
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action efforts, including root cause analysis for nonconformances.
  • Collaborate with leadership, engineering, construction, and manufacturing teams.
  • Periodically interact with external auditors and vendors.
  • Deliver training on quality systems.
  • Drive process governance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
