About The Position

Nexteer Automotive’s Student Programs offer students with high potential real-world work experience, with assignments that connect classroom learning to hands-on work in a technical environment and expose students to company products, processes, and procedures. The program also gives students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

In this internship, the student will support development, testing, implementation, and improvement of Nexteer’s internally developed custom eQMS software. The role involves working with mid- and upper-level management and supporting the goal of implementing the new system. The student will also contribute to quality skills training development and AI development and implementation activities for the Quality function, and complete miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Attend a four-year university.
• Pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Management.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Be able to develop presentations and training materials.
• Be proficient with AI capabilities to support the work.
• Be organized and detail-oriented.
• Be able to work 40 hours per week.
• Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Be a full-time student, taking 12 or more credits in the following fall semester.
• Have authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support development, testing, implementation, and improvement activities for a custom eQMS software solution.
• Create training materials to support administration and use of the new software system.
• Support development of training materials for quality skills development.
• Use AI tools to support the above activities and other AI- and agent-related work for the Quality function.
• Assist the supervisor with administrative work.
• Complete other miscellaneous tasks as they arise.
