Quality Specialist - Clinical Quality - Baptist Jacksonville
About The Position
The Quality Specialist supports clinical quality initiatives at Baptist Jacksonville. The role introduces the National Association of Healthcare Quality’s eight domains for healthcare quality competency and develops foundational healthcare quality knowledge through education, professional development, and continued learning. Working with Advanced Quality Team members, the Specialist helps incorporate quality objectives into strategic operating practices, supports performance improvement and project/change management, and participates in system-level projects and committees. The role also collaborates with local leadership, Facility Risk Management, Accreditation Leaders, and Infection Prevention to promote safety, regulatory readiness, and improved care.
Responsibilities
- Engage in introductory healthcare quality education and professional development through competency development and continued learning.
- Work with Advanced Quality Team members to promote and incorporate healthcare quality objectives into strategic operating practices.
- Use professional communication and relationship-building techniques to interact with and establish partnerships with local leadership.
- Begin implementing performance improvement frameworks and methodologies to enhance project and change management, in collaboration with Advanced Quality Team members.
- Participate with Advanced Quality Team members in healthcare system-level projects and committees.
- Promote a safe healthcare system by participating in the collaborative culture of safety model and partnering with Facility Risk Management.
- Participate in compliance and regulatory requirements through preparation for and participation in continued readiness activities with Accreditation Leaders.
- Establish a collaborative environment with Infection Prevention to improve care and reduce infections within the facility.
