Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Automated production or related discipline.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office work (Excel especially) and Autocad.
  • Functional knowledge of SQL, Autolisp programming, network databases.
  • Bilingual French/English
  • At least two (2) years of experience in managing the quality and manufacturing engineering acquired in a manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Good team spirit, be customer-oriented, proactive and want to improve continuously.
  • Desire to develop, maintain and improve the quality of processes and services.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Area General Manager, the facility team and the Regional Quality Operation Manager to execute the Quality improvement strategy aimed at improving the overall Quality and the manufacturing operations throughout the facility.
  • Ensure the sustainability of the Quality Management System as well as the standardized operation procedures.
  • Be involved with facility maintenance and will play a role in the technical design / quotation process of the high voltage stator bars and coils.
  • Identify issues related to the quality or customer service, implement procedures, and provide documentation.
  • Manage and organize records and use Web-based tools and computer programs.
  • Be the main contact between the Service center team and the Corporate Quality team.
  • Support the QOM during site audits.
  • Manage audit findings and participate in the resolution process.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA), analyses and resolve quality issues that relates to suppliers.
  • Manage the Quality Management System and perform internal Quality audits.
  • Manage the Site calibration program.
  • Help the Service center team to understand operational procedure issues, implement revisions and corrective actions.
  • Formulate and issue notice of non-conformance (QCR) and implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for renewing and maintaining the Site ISO certification.
  • Revise work instructions /directives, where necessary, and provide training on procedures.
  • Carry out audits of suppliers as needed and help verify the eligibility of new suppliers.
  • Supervise projects and work related to coils and bars manufacturing, participate in the resource planning and scheduling.
  • Provide technical assistance and participate in the design and quoting process for the stator coils and bars.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled hourly employees regarding inspection, maintenance, repair and upgrade of the manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting and routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment.
  • Actively contribute to the facility productivity, cycle time reduction, and improved performance by using Six Sigma and Lean techniques.
