Quality & Reliability Manager

Aligned Data Centers
•$135,000 - $155,000

About The Position

The Quality & Reliability Manager enforces the project’s QA/QC policy and defines measurable standards for acceptable installations, including torque patterns, pipe cleanliness, and cable dressing. The role provides day-to-day direction to third-party mechanical and electrical QA specialists, including assigning and prioritizing work, planning coverage, aligning their work to the Built to Run standard, reviewing field reports, and escalating performance feedback through the vendor rather than directly supervising employees. The manager identifies systemic quality patterns, quantifies risk, and leads structured root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring failures. As the Level 3 to Level 4 gatekeeper, the role independently validates readiness criteria and signs readiness memos confirming rooms and systems are physically complete, clean, accessible, serviceable, and properly documented. The manager coordinates open items with Construction, Vendors, and Commissioning so functional testing does not begin until quality risks are understood and accepted. The position is responsible for ensuring equipment and ancillary systems are accessible and serviceable, including strainers, valves, filters, VRFs, and electrical panels. Additional work includes assisting with BMS issue resolution; supporting QA/QC and commissioning for speculative builds and tenant requirements; negotiating standard vendor pricing; developing standardized reporting metrics for internal stakeholders; reviewing policies and procedures annually for version control; organizing the ADC runbook workflow; collaborating across teams; and performing other assigned duties. The role requires 3–6 years of experience creating standards-related documents for building, testing, repairs, troubleshooting, and training in data centers or other critical environments. It also requires technical and office software fluency, strong communication, analytical and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work as needed at a facility secured 24/7. Up to 20% travel is required, and applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Expected compensation is $135,000–$155,000 plus a 20% annual bonus.
