Manages the development and implementation of program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six-Sigma tools and analysis. This role leads the Quality Management System (QMS Management Representative) and manages various customer programs, involving customer interface, monitoring and timely completion of customer requirements. The position monitors the review, analysis and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems, and directs investigations or problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Oversees the Quality interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Coordinates supplier quality actions relative to products and services provided that includes onsite auditing, troubleshooting and corrective actions. Develops and monitors metrics relative to escapes, delivered quality, scrap, rework and repair and business operation results. Investigates to determine root cause, corrective and preventive action utilizing continuous improvement tools. Supports continuous improvement processes and initiatives for functional areas of responsibility. Maintains databases and mines information to have real-time and accurate reports measuring goal accomplishments. Develops/maintains performance metrics and manages to highest efficiency (e.g., POI Dwell, NC’s, etc.). Ensures Internal audit program is effective and manages External audits by customers, regulatory agencies and certification bodies. Position may require 10% travel.
