The Quality Production Specialist reviews and validates product non-conformances, disposition types, quality procedures, and engineering requirements. This role involves performing analysis to evaluate product, operation, and process quality against Quality Management System requirements, company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations. The specialist applies aerospace design, systems, and integration knowledge for failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components. Key responsibilities include training and mentoring colleagues in the Quality Management System, conducting root cause analysis to prevent nonconformance recurrence, and independently developing and documenting corrective/preventive actions. The position requires obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes, negotiating concurrence, and prioritizing quality activities to ensure problem resolution. The specialist also reviews and validates corrective action plans, approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products, guides validation of configuration management and material review policies for software products, and develops software system processes to support industry standards. Additionally, they review and implement corrective actions based on audit results, interpret industry standards for implementation recommendations, and create analytical reports for internal/external distribution. This role operates under general direction.
