About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Production Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA. This role involves assisting with the review and validation of product non-conformances and dispositions, quality procedures, and verification of engineering requirements. The specialist will support analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes, and participate in investigations to determine root causes of nonconformances in production material and processes. The position requires the ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems. The role includes gathering data and providing recommendations/solutions for nonconformance dispositions, assisting with the development and documentation of process improvements for effective corrective/preventive actions, and supporting concurrence and commitments for program resolution. Additionally, the specialist will validate the effectiveness of corrective actions and plan/conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with guidance and engineering requirements. This role works under general supervision.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience working in Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience gathering data and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and dispositions, quality procedures and verification of engineering requirements.
  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Participates in the investigations to determine root cause(s) of nonconformances of plans production material and processes.
  • Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to disposition nonconformance(s) of plans, products, or processes.
  • Assists with the development, modification, and documentation of actions process improvements to ensure effective corrective/preventive action.
  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
  • Validates that corrective actions are effective in eliminating the cause(s) of product or process nonconformances.
  • Plans and conducts product and process audits to ensure that material is produced in accordance with applicable guidance and is conforming with engineering requirements.
