About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Production Specialist - Material Review Board Designee (MRBD)/Quality Assurance Investigator (QAI) to support onsite in Auburn, Washington. This role involves reviewing and validating product non-conformances, quality procedures, and engineering requirements. The specialist will apply knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems. They will also train and mentor fellow employees in the Quality Management System, perform root cause analysis on non-conformances to identify causes and prevent recurrence, and independently develop, modify, and document actions to ensure problem resolution or implement corrective/preventive actions. The role includes obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes, negotiating concurrence, obtaining commitments for preventive and corrective actions, prioritizing quality activities, and ensuring problem resolution. Additionally, the specialist will review and approve Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes, guide the validation of configuration management, quality procedures, and material review policies, and review and implement corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering-defined requirements. The role also involves interpreting industry standards, providing recommendations for implementation, creating analytical reports, and coordinating with responsible parties for internal/external distribution. The position works under general direction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manufacturing and/or quality experience
  • 3+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
