About The Position

Quality Production Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Production Specialist to support the Quality Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. In this role, you will review and validate product non-conformances, perform analysis to evaluate product quality, and conduct failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components. Additionally, you will train and mentor fellow employees, perform root cause analysis, develop corrective/preventive actions, and Project Manage quality initiatives to support 787 production improvements. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
  • 5+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Velocity
  • 3+ years of experience in a production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience working with CMES
  • Experience with managing quality improvement projects
  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • Boeing 787 Program Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Guides the review of production plans.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance.
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity.
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal /external distribution.
  • Project Manages quality initiatives to support 787 production improvements
  • Works under general supervision.
