About The Position

The client, a Series B enterprise SaaS company, is seeking an experienced senior finance professional to lead preparation of a sell-side Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis. The engagement is contract- and project-based, remote, and approximately 80+ hours, running from November 2026 through January 2027. The work must be completed by the end of January 2027, with earlier completion strongly preferred. The Controller will be the primary point of contact.

The Engagement Lead will plan and lead the QoE effort, personally perform much of the analysis, oversee resources supporting the data room, and manage questions and answers with management. Deliverables include a polished PDF report with graphical analysis and supporting data workbook(s). Compensation is dependent on experience (DOE).

Requirements

• CFO-, VP-, or Director-level finance experience.
• Audit background in public accounting or equivalent; this is critical for the role.
• Demonstrated experience preparing QoE reports.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality output on a firm deadline.

Nice To Haves

• M&A transaction experience, particularly on the sell side.
• SaaS revenue experience, including ARR metrics and deferred revenue or revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with Stripe billing and revenue data.
• Experience with multi-entity structures and intercompany cost allocations.

Responsibilities

• Develop an efficient and effective plan to test and support the QoE analysis.
• Lead and perform hands-on QoE work, including revenue, expense, and earnings adjustments.
• Oversee and direct internal resources in assembling data room support.
• Manage Q&A with the management team and drive timely resolution of open items.
• Prepare the final QoE report in PDF format with a clear graphical presentation of key findings.
• Build and maintain the supporting workbook(s) of data and analysis.
