About The Position

The Quality Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and improving the company's quality system in keeping with the corporate philosophy, regulatory requirements, and quality management requirements, aligned with the plant's business plans. This position provides leadership and technical expertise that is focused on the relentless pursuit of achieving and maintaining product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • 5 years’ experience managing the quality function in high-speed, continuous, or multi-lane processes, with demonstrable bottom-line results, is recommended.
  • ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or as a Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Must have experience leading Root Cause Analysis.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with employees and managers in the manufacturing department to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards. Interacts with all levels in the company.
  • Performs regular auditing procedures of the laboratory and manufacturing process to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Utilize the Quality Hold system to isolate and disposition problematic finished products.
  • Work with suppliers to improve raw material supply and COAs.
  • Work with outside audit bodies to achieve/maintain necessary compliance.
  • Responsible for creating and refining test methods and procedures in accordance with industry standards.
  • Responsible for evaluating and monitoring production processes and product quality.
  • Identify and implement actions to reduce claims, waste, and process variability.
  • Lead and provide expertise in the completion of needs assessments, competency-based training, and follow-up for all facility personnel in appropriate Quality and inspection methodologies in support of employee development.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
