About The Position

This position is located in Annapolis, MD. The core working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This is an exempt position. Quality Manager This is a full time position offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package and with employer paid contribution to health care coverage. This position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. INTRODUCTION The Quality Manager will develop, implement and oversee a complete Quality Management System (QMS) program at the contract site. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and correcting problems throughout the entire scope of operations and ensuring that work performed is conforms to contract requirements. The incumbent will act as a liaison with Site Quality team, Melwood’s Facilities Management Services team, and internal staff.

Requirements

BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of five years’ experience in the quality control/quality assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of three years in a lead role or management position.
Proficiency in drafting and implementation of quality management plans.
Strong technical and observation skills and attention to detail are necessary.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications and extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends.
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a “secret” clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and oversee the QMS plan at the contract site.
Document work processes, procedures, and output measures.
Assess compliance with performance objectives and standards.
Schedule and perform inspections and surveillance.
Document and maintain a file of quality inspections and surveillance conducted throughout the execution of work.
Develop plan for preventative action and continuous improvement.
As necessary, take assessment-driven corrective action and make process adjustments in a timely manner.
Oversee services provided by subcontractors.
