About The Position

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.
• Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection.
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using.
• Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality.
• Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures.
• Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators.
• Conduct internal audits as required.
• Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
