The purpose of this position is to perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production, visually inspecting Sub-assemblies and HLA level products using magnifiers or other tools, employing lot sampling methods or 100% inspection.

Requirements

  • A minimum of Middle school certificate is required.
  • Six Months of related experience in manufacturing process is required
  • Advanced reading, writing and math skills are required (i.e., 12th grade level)
  • Inspection skills
  • Knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information
  • Must complete training for and become certified for Quality Assurance within six months of obtaining the position and must maintain QA certification to remain in the position
  • Basic PC skills are required (i.e., keyboarding skills, basic mouse usage, opening and closing programs and files using Google Workspace or MS Windows) and familiarity with applicable Plexus software packages

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend).
  • One (1) or more years of related experience in the position is preferred.
  • Intermediate electronic manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as required on Root cause activities.
  • Enters standardized information into GSF
  • Supervise work area according with 5´s standards.
  • Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
  • Visually inspects Sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools and using lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.
  • Keeps supervisors informed and escalates issues when needed.
