About The Position

Leidos Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect components and assembled parts and support quality activities for hardware and systems produced for defense, space, and commercial customers. The role involves reading assembly instructions, performing internal AS9100 audits, and documenting non-conformances while initiating investigations to identify root causes. The position requires collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams and is intended for a candidate residing in North Alabama or willing to relocate there.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 7 years of experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 system, or equivalent experience in DOD, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing quality control.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Must reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate to the area.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum.
