About The Position

Leidos Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect components and assembled parts and support quality activities. Leidos provides engineering, scientific, and IT solutions across defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, including hardware and systems for high energy weapons, launchers, Hypersonics, and target surrogates for Department of Defense customers. The role is identified as a weekend shift position and is based in North Alabama; candidates must live in the area or be willing to relocate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 7 years of experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 system, or equivalent experience in DOD, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing quality control.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Residence in North Alabama or willingness to relocate to the area.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and the IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components and assembled parts.
• Read and understand assembly instructions.
• Perform internal AS9100 audits.
• Write non-conformance reports and initiate investigations to determine root cause.
