About The Position

Quality Inspector Lasko Products, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is hiring an Quality Inspector for our Franklin, TN location. This is a first shift position. The Lasko Quality Inspector's responsibilities include inspecting incoming materials, auditing and inspecting processes and products during the manufacturing processes, and communicating effectively with the quality leadership and manufacturing teams. You will work with department managers and supervisors to support quality measures that assure product quality within the manufacturing process. Duties will include parts inspection, parts inspection data entry, using a variety of measuring tools, participating in Kaizen events for continuous improvement, and performing audits and other routine quality systems areas. This is a hands-on plant floor position located in Franklin, TN.

Requirements

  • Basic practical experience in Microsoft office tools such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Practical knowledge and experience of quality measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.
  • 1-3 Years of inspection experience in quality area of a manufacturing facility require

Nice To Haves

  • Plastic Injection molding experience desired.
  • Assembly line experience desired.
  • Metal Stamping experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the local Quality Manager and Quality Engineers, along with manufacturing team in order to execute quality and plant initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues effectively and timely to the manufacturing team.
  • Reliably execute the Quality System of our facility.
  • Perform routine hourly and shift inspections of Molding, Assembly & Press/Paint departments.
  • Measure and document certain critical to quality attributes of the parts.
  • Follow standard work and standard operating procedures for inspections.
  • Manage the testing and auditing of components and finished products.
  • Follow nonconforming material processes and support Material Review Board process.
  • Coordinate daily inspection and testing of components and products.
  • Assist with customer complaints and quality issues.
