About The Position

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications. This role involves performing dimensional and visual inspections, as well as Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) when required. The inspector will document any defective products and report them to their supervisor. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The duties may be reassigned or supplemented as needed at the discretion of Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry.

Requirements

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
• Understanding of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of a casting.
• Visualization of how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
• The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).
• Attention to quality requirements is essential.
• Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
