The operation of various types of magnetic and penetrant testing equipment and the subsequent inspection. Performs functional and operational checks of production, prototype, modified and customer returned aircraft major components, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and installations. Investigates and determines dispositions on returned materials, detail parts and assemblies for FAA repairs. Inspects, calibrates, repairs, adjusts, and certifies all precision measuring instruments to required standards.
