About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector, 3rd Shift at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The rate for this position is $20.94 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30 pm until 7:30 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. As a Quality Inspector, you will perform a broad range of detailed inspection activities to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements. This role involves selecting and applying appropriate inspection tools, techniques, and procedures based on product specifications and customer expectations, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous manufacturing quality experience as a quality technician, quality inspector, or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and measure specified dimensions within defined tolerances.

  • Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Greenwood, SC facility.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • 1 year of experience using hand and air tools.
  • 1 year+ of experience with MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products using measurement and testing equipment to verify compliance with quality, safety, customer, regulatory, industry, internal, and ISO standards.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings, applying basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to validate dimensions and measurements within established tolerances and specifications.
  • Accurately document inspection results, test data, measurements, nonconformances, defects, deviations, and corrective actions while maintaining required quality records and documentation.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate quality issues and opportunities for improvement, using objective, fact-based, and data-driven evidence to support root cause analysis and production problem resolution.
  • Partner with production teams to provide quality feedback, recommend and verify corrective actions, and conduct follow-up inspections to ensure issues are effectively resolved.
  • Conduct routine audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to confirm ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices, while promoting continuous improvement through inspection findings and quality data analysis.
