About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is hiring a Quality Inspector at its Greenwood, South Carolina facility. The role performs detailed inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to verify that they meet customer requirements and applicable quality, safety, regulatory, industry, internal, and ISO standards. The inspector selects and applies appropriate inspection tools, techniques, and procedures based on product specifications and customer expectations. The position involves interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, measuring dimensions against established tolerances, documenting inspection findings and quality records, identifying and communicating quality issues, and working with production teams to investigate problems and verify corrective actions. The inspector also conducts audits, supports team members with quality guidance, and contributes to continuous improvement. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require. The position is based at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Pay is $20.94 per hour plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential, with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Relocation is not provided, and candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility. Eaton does not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Previous manufacturing quality experience as a quality technician, quality inspector, or equivalent.
Ability to interpret blueprints and measure specified dimensions within defined tolerances.
Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds and lift up to 40 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate through relationship-building and process knowledge.
Must live within 50 miles of the Greenwood, SC facility; relocation is not provided.

Nice To Haves

One year of manufacturing experience.
One year of experience using hand and air tools.
At least one year of experience with MS Windows applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products using measurement and testing equipment to verify compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings and use basic arithmetic to verify dimensions and measurements against tolerances and specifications.
Document inspection results, test data, measurements, nonconformances, defects, deviations, and corrective actions, maintaining required quality records.
Identify, analyze, and communicate quality issues and improvement opportunities using objective, fact-based, data-driven evidence.
Work with production teams to provide quality feedback, recommend and verify corrective actions, and conduct follow-up inspections.
Conduct routine audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to confirm compliance and effectiveness.
Provide team members with training, guidance, and support on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices.
Promote continuous improvement through inspection findings and quality data analysis.
