About The Position

The Quality Inspector ensures that all components and assemblies used in the manufacturing of mixers and agitators meet company standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This role requires expertise in precision measurement techniques, inspection of fabricated and machined parts, and verification of welds, finishes, and assemblies. The Quality Inspector plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, reducing rework, and supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, and assembly.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Experience with inspection of welds and surface finishes.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming components, in-process work, and finished assemblies.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect fabricated and machined parts for compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Verify the quality of welds, surface finishes, and overall assembly integrity.
  • Document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and initiate corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
