The Quality Engineering Associate Manager will be responsible for supervising, leading, and directing Quality Engineers in supporting Orion Assembly, Test, & Launch Operations (ATLO) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). This role ensures the build, assembly, and test of all hardware & software meet quality requirements. The position involves developing, implementing, and measuring strategies that positively impact Critical Performance Characteristics, leading the KSC Quality team in tracking and reduction of Q Note non-conformance, and providing Weekly Activity Reports to Program Management. The Associate Manager will identify and present programmatic issues at the Orion Corrective Action Board, lead Root Cause Analysis Events, and utilize Data Analytics for issue identification and RCCA implementation. Responsibilities also include leading AS9100 Audit preparations, reviewing and approving various technical documents, ensuring requirements are met prior to Product Acceptance, and leading constraint reviews for testing and manufacturing operations. The role provides Quality Oversight for testing, non-conformance reviews, and Requirement Verification Reports to support DD250 Deliverables. The Associate Manager will direct Quality Engineers to ensure compliance with AS9100 and internal LM requirements, continuously review process methods for improvements, and lead assessments of program readiness for manufacturing and test operations. A significant portion of the role (over 50%) involves performing as a quality engineering Individual Contributor, including reviewing/approving work instructions, supporting testing activities, performing product acceptance, and supporting floor operations. The position influences program performance and drives quality throughout all program phases with an independent focus on Quality and Mission Assurance.
