About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Quality Engineer Associate Manager for a position based in Highlands Ranch, CO. The Quality professional will be responsible for leadership and performance within the Quality Engineering discipline, including Supplier Quality Engineering business process management, data analytics, continuous improvement, and talent development, training and knowledge continuity. The position may require working flexible hours and travel. As the Quality Engineer Associate Manager, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of Quality Engineering and as an Adviser for the Quality team. This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions and leverage technology into Space. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Supervision and/or leadership of Quality Professionals including Engineers and Inspectors - Coordination of daily tasks inclusive of but not limited to First Article Inspection (FAI), supplier surveillance, supplier improvement, root cause and corrective action, Data Analytics, and 1LMX transformational efforts. - Coordination with program quality and supply chain management. - Implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQI) best practices - Continuous process improvement activities both within the organization and at supplier facilities. - Willingness to travel up to 25% - Ensure Supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified. - Establish, revise, review and implement departmental policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelors level degree or higher in STEM and/or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Must have the ability to travel
  • Advanced Quality Engineering or Analyst experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
  • Knowledgeable of AS9100 standard and implementation of Quality Management System.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action knowledge and experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and/or experience implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQI) Procedures and Techniques
  • Experience with SAP/P2P
  • QMRB Certification
  • ASQ Certification(s) and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
  • Knowledge of supplier surveillance processes
  • Experience establishing Quality processes and requirements with cross functional, supplier and customer engagement
