About The Position

The Quality Engineer – Small Assembly owns product and process quality for Rehlko’s small industrial generator assembly lines. This floor-based role supports two assembly lines and works with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supplier Quality to improve first-pass yield, reduce scrap and downtime, and ensure nonconforming material is contained, dispositioned, and corrected at its root cause. The engineer monitors quality metrics, manages nonconformances through the Material Review Board (MRB), leads root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and drives measurable process improvements in a hands-on, high-mix production environment. The position is onsite Monday through Friday in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transferred visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program; Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SPC, MSA, PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
