About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Mid-level or Senior) to join our team located in Berkeley, MO! This position represents the Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. It involves providing Quality interpretation of requirements, developing quality metrics, and design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. The role also includes conducting capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection, participating in reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs, performing analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness, and providing material review dispositions for non-conformances. Additionally, the position involves analyzing non-conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions and recommending corrective actions. For Level 4, the role leads these activities for large programs, interprets complex requirements, develops Quality criteria, leads reviews, develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit, assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances, and develops and implements corrective actions. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 3+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience with FAI
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods

Responsibilities
