About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Mid-level or Senior) to join our team located in Berkeley, MO! This position represents the Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. It provides Quality interpretation of requirements, develops quality metrics, and designs and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. The role also involves conducting capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities, participating in reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs, and performing analysis, tests, and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Additionally, the Quality Engineer provides material review dispositions for non-conformances, analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions, and recommends corrective actions. For the Senior level (Level 4), the role involves leading these activities for large programs, developing Quality criteria, leading reviews, developing and selecting methods for analysis, testing and audit, assisting in the development of new standards for non-conformances, and developing and implementing corrective actions. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
3+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Works under general direction (Level 3).
Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation (Level 4).
Provides interpretation of complex requirements (Level 4).
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements (Level 4).
Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities (Level 4).
Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs (Level 4).
Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness (Level 4).
Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances (Level 4).
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions (Level 4).
Develops and implements corrective actions (Level 4).
Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved (Level 4).
Works under minimal direction (Level 4).
