About The Position

The Boeing Company, specifically Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join their team in Ridley Park, PA. This role involves representing the Quality function in team activities, integrating contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. The engineer will provide Quality interpretation of requirements, develop quality metrics and design/production certification plans for small programs, and conduct capability assessments and process validations for supplier selection. Responsibilities also include participating in reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs, performing analysis, tests, and process audits for manufacturing and test readiness, and providing material review dispositions for non-conformances. The position requires analyzing non-conformance trends to evaluate corrective action effectiveness, recommending corrective actions, and performing benchmarking to achieve specified process capability levels. This position operates under general direction and is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
3+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
1+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

Responsibilities

Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
