About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Quality Production Specialist to join their team in Mesa, AZ. The selected candidate will be a Quality Inspector in the Experimental Flight Test/Vertical Lift group and will ensure that all maintenance, modifications and inspections are properly performed, and proper records, reports and forms are executed prior to releasing the product for Return to Service.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 5+ years of experience with maintenance and inspection of AH-64 aircraft
  • 5+ years of experience with Quality Assurance or Technical Inspection
  • 5+ years of experience with Army doctrine and Aircraft Forms Records, and the usage of the Aircraft Notebook (ACN)
  • 5+ years of experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM)
  • 5+ years of experience with rotorcraft maintenance
  • 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Have or held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Currently hold an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or are currently enrolled in an A&P certificate program
  • Experience in the application of AS9100/9110
  • 5+ years of experience using Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations
  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
  • Train and mentor fellow employees in the Quality Management System
  • Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence
  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution
  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes
  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution
  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies the effectiveness to ensure completion
  • Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes
  • Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results
  • Interprets industry standards and provides recommendations for implementation
  • Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the parties responsible for internal/external distribution
