About The Position

Responsible for product quality planning, evaluation, and control, working cross-functionally to ensure regulatory and QMS compliance. This role focuses on developing inspection plans for new product development, leading root cause investigations for non-conformances. They will mentor junior staff, analyze quality metrics, and lead corrective/preventative actions to minimize risks and ensure product integrity.

Requirements

  • Minimum associate degree in related field preferred or a minimum 5 years in a manufacturing work environment.
  • An attitude and personality that promotes teamwork.
  • Strong communications, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 and supporting documents.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Project Management.
  • Understanding of GD&T tolerancing.

  • Measurement systems analysis.
  • Problem-solving processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Manager with the monitoring and maintenance of ISO9001 Quality system.
  • Participation in advanced product planning program (APQP) for new/revised product.
  • Conducting capability analysis to determine acceptable process controls or what is necessary to achieve it.
  • Assembly of PPAP documents and verification of accuracy in our submission process.
  • Documenting and administration of the root cause and corrective action process.
  • Leading and/or participating in (multiple) continuous improvement activities with clear objectives and timeline for completion.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) process for review of root cause and disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Participate in document control process with direction from Quality Manager.
  • Participate in the internal auditing process to ensure safety, quality and environmental system requirements are conforming on an ongoing basis.
  • Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Compliance of safety policies and procedures for all State and Federal regulations.
  • Report any safety or environmental concerns to a supervisor, compliance coordinator, or the operations manager.
  • Conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations.
  • Assist the quality manager with the auditing of the supply base for conformance to ISO standards.
  • Customer and internal corrective action(s) completed to the customer’s timeline(s).
