About The Position

As a Quality Engineer Sr, you will be a vital part of the manufacturing team that build the Hypersonic Weapon. This position will apply quality principles in the areas of incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering)
• Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation
• Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications
• Experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Demonstrates thorough attention to detail
• Required to work off shifts, overtime and nonstandard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

• Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)
• Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
• Experience with SAP, P2P, VECAMS, and data analytics to report trends and achieve results
• Excellent communication skills to engage the team, customers and senior leader
• Resourceful self-starter possessing a "learning orientation"
• Experience working independently with customers and suppliers
• Missile , Hypersonics, or flight vehicle experience

Responsibilities

• Ensuring product compliance through accurate flow down of Program/Customer requirements and physical configuration audits
• Ensuring non-conformance's are accurately controlled, documented and dispositioned
• Helping resolve technical issues and communicating them back to the program and or Customer
• Helping drive process improvements and cost savings utilizing a continuous improvement mentality
