Requirements

  • High School diploma, equivalent or trade school graduate preferred.
  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, saw operator experience preferred, but not required, equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable.
  • Valid driver’s license, valid forklift operator license issued by EPTAM.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the setting up of all saw equipment to meet expected material cut size per work order.
  • Understand and verify information provided on the work order, material certs, and material match.
  • Perform in-process inspection for dimensions of parts produced and maintain documentation as required.
  • Keep count of parts and maintain accurate records in ERP, as well as other supporting documentation.
  • Issue material(s) to designated value stream for processing, when needed.
  • Process production orders as required.
  • Achieve a classification of Independent or higher on all Saw Operator competencies identified on the Saw Operator Competency Checklist HRF-02.31.
  • Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
  • Identify, suggest, and lead changes to benefit the organization within the Quality System or Production
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
  • Ensure quality requirement flow down of customer purchase orders for products to be manufactured.
  • Identify quality system needs, including inspection materials, tools, and equipment necessary and convey to Quality Manager for strategic planning and budgeting purposes.
  • Work with Senior Quality Director and Engineering team to meet and exceed customer and ISO/FDA regulations.
  • Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal and ISO audits, as well as FDA inspections.
  • Understand the sensitivity of the data handled by systems under your control and take appropriate measures to protect it.
